2nd Volunteer Battalion NCO’s Badge 1897 to 1908

This is the first pattern Tiger and Rose badge to this battalion. It is made in one stamping of white metal with The Tiger set within a scroll and laurel wreath with the words ‘York & Lancaster’. The Coronet and Rose are also in white metal.

As the badge is made in one piece, there is no requirement for soldering a separate rose and Coronet onto the badge, therefore there are no sweat holes to the reverse.

This badge is on loops, no examples are known to exist with sliders.
