Type 2 Tiger and Rose Badge (on loops).
This badge has a series of sweat holes which would suggest a particular makers variation (although the maker is not known). There is 1 oblong sweat hole behind the Coronet and a large round sweat hole to the rear of the Rose with 1 large hole to the rear of the rose.
A notable feature of this manufacturer is that the front of the white metal Rose ‘overlay’ floats away from the gilding metal backing as can be seen from the picture of the reverse of the badge.
This badge is on loops which would date it to between 1897 and 1903.
