A Standard Tiger and Rose Badge 1903 Onwards

Type 2 Tiger and Rose Badge (with slider).

This badge has a round sweat hole behind the rose and an oblong sweat hole behind the Coronet which would suggest a particular makers variation (although the maker is not known). The white metal Rose ‘overlay’ is fixed away from the gilding metal backing as can be seen from the picture of the reverse of the badge.

This particular pattern of badge can also be found with loops (therefore being dated to prior to 1903) which would suggest that this badge may be one of the earliest badges made with a slider.
