Brigadier Archibald Bentley Beauman

Archibald Bentley Beauman transferred into the York and Lancaster Regiment. This photograph shows him in the 1921's as a Lt Colonel. Of note is his bronzed collar badges which have had their bronze buffed off and are now shiny rather than the intended subdued bronze colour. 

He was a highly decorated officer and wears the following medals:

DSO 1915 and Bar 1917

Mentioned in despatches 6 times during WW1

1914 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

Italian Medal for Valour 

Croix de Guerre.  

Italian War Cross

Italian Silver Medal

Later in his career,

Commanded the 15th Infantry Brigade
